For this project, the homeowner wanted a safe and reliable home charging solution for their Tesla vehicle. Before installation, our team performed a detailed electrical load calculation to verify the available capacity of the existing electrical system and ensure the charger could be installed safely and in compliance with code requirements.

Project Overview

After completing a comprehensive electrical load analysis, we determined that the home’s existing electrical system could safely support a dedicated 40-amp circuit for EV charging. In accordance with NEC continuous load requirements, this allows the Tesla Wall Connector to provide a maximum continuous charging output of 32 amps.

The charger was installed on a dedicated 240-volt circuit using #6 copper conductors routed through EMT conduit, delivering a clean, durable, and code-compliant installation.
