Your power will be off for approximately 4 to 6 hours during the upgrade. We coordinate the SCE meter pull and reconnection as part of the job — you do not need to call the utility company or schedule anything separately. We time the power shutoff to minimize disruption and restore power before the end of the workday in most cases.
A panel upgrade almost always helps your insurance situation. Modern 200A panels with Square D, Eaton, or Siemens equipment are preferred by insurers. If you currently have a Zinsco, Federal Pacific, or Federal Pioneer panel, your insurer may have already flagged it.
